Description

We have a three-prong test for hostname approval that we seem to have standardized. We should document it, if not in the FAQ then in /mit/scripts/doc/tickets/cnames.txt for our contributors.

I'd prefer they just be in cnames.txt.

I would prefer cnames.txt, and a separate document for users, with instructions how to self-test in a simple flow-chart style questionnaire.

cnames.txt is most definitely from a time before Pony existed, and we have an FAQ that provides a reasonable self-test before users request a hostname.
