We should have a FAQ entry on how to clean up a spammed Mediawiki. It's a little poor that we don't (I think) have a good stock entry, given how many people we're emailing about their spammed mediawiki.
The key things to cover are:
- How to prevent spam from reoccurring --- probably at least one of
- cert auth
- $wgEmailConfirmToEdit
- How to remove already-extant spam --- conceivable options include:
- delete all pages not linked recursively from home page
- delete all pages created in the last one year
- delete pages not created by one of some list of users
- ...
