Warning: the address of this web page has changed to

    http://kedlaya.scripts.mit.edu/wiki/index.php?title=Conferences_in_Arithmetic_Geometry

Please update your links accordingly.

This is a list of upcoming conferences in arithmetic geometry; please help me keep this current. (To prevent spam, one cannot autogenerate login accounts on the wiki; email me with a proposed username to receive a password.) An ideal complete entry includes a conference title, location, dates, and a web site, but incomplete entries can also be useful.

Although this page was originally intended to focus on arithmetic geometry, as a wiki it is free to drift. However, a good goal is to stay near the boundary of number theory and algebraic geometry.

Here are some other conference lists, with overlapping but distinct areas of focus. (I admit to swiping listings from all of these sources!)

There is also a list of past conferences in arithmetic geometry, onto which entries should be swept after they transit from future to past.

Sorting convention: I sort events by their start date. A start date of "January" comes between December 31 and January 1.

2009

Due to an uptick in activity, I decided to separate off long programs (two months or more) into a separate list. Here they are:

Back to the conference list. This includes individual conferences contained within the long programs listed above.

2010

As in the 2009 list, I have separated off long programs (two months or longer):

  • Special year in analytic number theory, September 2009-April 2010, IAS, Princeton
  • Research programme in arithmetic geometry, September 2009-July 2010, CRM, Barcelona
  • Galois Trimester, January-April, Institut Henri Poincaré, Paris
  • Algebra and Number Theory (junior program), January 4-March 31, Hausdorff Institute, Bonn
  • Number theory as experimental and applied science, January 4-April 19, CRM, Montréal
  • I am told that IAS will have a special program in algebraic number theory during the 2010-2011 academic year (September 2010-April 2011), but the IAS web site does not reflect this.

And now for the regular conferences.

  • Effective methods in p-adic cohomology, March 15-19, Oxford
  • Conference Jean-Marc Fontaine, March 22-27, Paris
  • Iwasawa theory over function fields of characteristic p>0, April 6-10, CRM, Barcelona
  • Drinfeld modules and L-functions, April 12-16, CRM, Barcelona
  • ANTS 9, July, LORIA, Nancy
  • Arithmetic of modular forms and modularity results, July 5-9, CRM, Barcelona
  • Modular forms (ICM satellite), August 17, Mahabalipuram
  • Galois representations in arithmetic and geometry (ICM satellite), August 10-13, Goa
  • Automorphic forms and number theory (ICM satellite), August 13-17, Goa
  • International Congress of Mathematicians, August 19-27, Hyderabad (section in number theory; see also satellites)

2011

Nothing yet.

2012

Nothing yet except one long program:

  • Thematic program on Galois Representations, Winter/Spring, Fields Institute, Toronto
