It's poor that users outside MIT or who otherwise haven't installed the MIT CA to be trusted get warnings when they visit scripts pages. We can get a cert for <$20/yr for scripts.mit.edu, and for $200/yr (maybe less) for *.scripts.

In parallel-find.pl, we should

• replace find -fprint with find -print, so it runs on my laptop
• for each file found, use fs la to check that scripts-security-upd still has write bits; if not, we can ignore the directory
• for each file found, tail -1 to find the version and spit that out with the filename.

Also, it should be in svn, so these changes can have a history.

When I run parallel-find.pl on my OS X, 10.4, laptop and it does a find in a sipb-cell locker, the find tends to hang. Right now I have about fifty finds in uninterruptible wait, hours later, despite kill -9'ing them.

One of them's even in the net cell.

This may have something to do with me holding price.root tokens rather than price; I don't normally have trouble using the sipb cell, of course.

Does this problem afflict those of you who've tried parallel-find.pl from other systems?
