Mathematics I'm a recent PhD (graduated from UC Berkeley's Mathematics department in 2006) and a current Instructor (Post-Doc) at MIT's Applied Mathematics Department.
I'm mainly interested in the mathematical solution of physical and biological problems. I've looked at optimization problems, non-linear advection, inhomogeneous diffusion, numerical methods for conservation laws, and, curiously, asymptotic results in combinatorial problems.
Most of my publications and preprints can be found on the arXiv.
My resume is available here].
I wrote a research statement for my NSF grant proposal. It focuses on the aggregation topics, but it's a good start for me.
