    Tech Video Showcase voting
Members of the MIT community: Vote for your favorite student videos that have been uploaded to MIT TechTV and entered into the Tech Video Showcase contest! Your vote will help determine which students win the top prizes, presented by Dean of Engineering Tom Magnanti at the MIT TechTV Expo on May 17.

NOTE: Entries will be submitted through May 14, and voting ends at midnight, May 15.

How to view and vote for videos (a.k.a. rate videos on a one- to five-star scale):

    1. Create an account — it’s quick and easy. Anyone with an mit.edu email address can create an MIT TechTV account.

    2. When you create an account, you’ll be asked for a “Collection Name” and “Collection Address.” Simply type the name of your choice (e.g. D. Ortiz, or Energy Club) into both fields — you DON’T have to upload any videos to have a Collection Name/Address. When you receive your confirmation email from MIT TechTV, click on the URL to return to the MIT TechTV website.

    3. Next, sign-in to MIT TechTV with your username and password.

    4. After signing in, click on the MIT TechTV logo to go back to the homepage. Click on “Tech Video Showcase” under Featured Collections to view the list of contest videos.

    5. Click on a video’s thumbnail to open it in a new window, and “click to play” the video. MOST CONTEST VIDEOS ARE 3 MINUTES OR LESS.

    6. To vote on a video, click on the star within the five-star scale that indicates your rating (i.e. the first star = poor, the last star = excellent). YOU CAN ONLY VOTE ONCE. Your vote will then be reflected in the aggregated rating.

Thanks for helping select the first winners of the MIT Tech Video Showcase!
