PGSC meeting, 3 February 2009.

For the first part of the meeting, Sean Robinson attended and discussed several topics of mutual interest:

1) Open house plans.  There's a weird schedule this year, but consensus was that it's important to have as many of the regular social events as possible (Asgard the night before, dorm tours, flat-top johnny's, after party).  So:

-- Asgard will happen on Tuesday (technically during Harvard's visit, but what the heck)

-- Closing dinner (Flat-top Johnny's) moved to 7:30 to leave time for

-- Dorm tours from 5:30-7:30 - a good way to show that there is a graduate community at MIT in the larger sense and hence worth keeping

-- Sean will attempt to keep the faculty away from the students-only panel discussion this year, so that prospectives feel comfortable asking any and all questions
