Continuation of this post, and cut for length.
March 23rd
Today was our first day in San Fransisco proper. We took the BART to the Mission district. It reminded me a lot of some parts of New York, and there were lots of quirky shops and some amazing graffiti and art.

After grabbing some lunch we went over to the park to find ourselves surrounded by people who seemed to share only one thing in common: they were gay. Apparently every Easter there is a mass gathering for the Hunky Jesus competition, filmed by MTV’s Logo network.

Passing by a playground, none of us could resist the urge to go hang around there for a while.

We then headed over to watch the Bring Your Own Big Wheel competition. It was awesome!

As if there were more to squeeze into one day, we headed up to the Headlands by the Golden gate bridge, where Jo took one of the best pictures ever:

Today was Yosemite day. We got up excruciatingly early (seriously, we used to go to bed that “early”). The drive was about four hours, we stopped in the park, ate lunch, and headed over to one of the waterfalls. Sarah and I couldn’t resist taking at least one Asian Tourist shot.

Along the way to Mariposa grove, where we saw Sequoias and Redwoods, Harvey took a picture that really reminds me of the default Windows background (mixed feelings about that, I’m sure):

When we arrived at Mariposa Grove, the road was closed and we hiked two miles through the snow. It was 60 degrees out, for the record.

These trees were crazy big.
