bogota radio taxi
the project consists in recording the sound of taxi radio telephones. the voices of the central and all the other taxi drivers. listening to all their codes. M12 14. or 5 40. R15. QUAP. the recording lasts the length of the ride. the performer will start recording as soon as he enters the taxi. will be nice if is possible to place the microphone close to the speaker for better quality. at night, 9 or 10pm when there is a lot of activity will be a nice time. but also at other times.
the taxi driver that i spoke tonight told me once he was with a passenger that extended the lenght of the ride in order to listen to the radio telephone. it was live, en vivo, en tiempo real, that the central and other taxi drivers where narrating the chase. it was in the south of bogota. i didnt ask how did the chase ended. however, i asked if it will be ok if the passenger were recording the narration. he said it would be ok. no problem.
