The Bike

allez.jpg

As part of the trip, Bike & Build provides us with bikes through a sponsorship with Zane’s Cycles.  The bike provided is the Specialized Allez Triple, but  we were also given the option of spending some more money out of pocket to upgrade.  I decided that it would be worth the extra bit of money to get the Allez Elite, which has nicer components and is a compact double.

The above photo is a bit old; since then I’ve added bottle cages, fenders and saddle bag, and swapped out the stock saddle and tires for a Terry Butterfly and 700×25c Specialized Armadillos, respectively.
