The Graduate Women's Groups of Course 6 (GW6) was formed in 2001, aiming to provide EECS graduate women with an environment in which to develop mentorships and friendships, and gain support and encouragement in completing their degree. We host various events to promote amity and share information necessary for female graduate students. Some of events that we sponsored are listed below. - Workshops on Communication and Speech

- Summer and Fall Outings to state parks and the beach

- Women in Academia Panel Discussion
- Apple-Picking at Lookout Farms
- Stress Relief Lunch
- Careers and Family Panel
- Origami Night
- Valentine's Card and Craft Luncheon
- Networking (organizing panel discussions with alumnae from the department)
- Social with undergrad (junior) women to simulate interests in grad school
- Social with incoming graduate women
- Meeting with female high-school students from the WTP program simulate interests in engineering
- Discussion with administrators, ombudspeople, etc
- Yoga and relaxation before finals
- Announcement of volunteer opportunities
- Quals review sessions
