“3D” Boston Skyline

We found this image of the Boston skyline at http://www.visit-boston-massachusetts.com/

We “traced” the outlines of the boat, buildings, bridge and background using lines and circles, making one layer for each “color”.  We used the CNC knife cutter to cut each color layer and little double-stick foam squares to assemble the layers.

For the frame, we glued together several layers of cardboard that had been cut with the laser cutter.  The top most layer was also etched using the laser cutter.
