What is Songbird?
Songbird is an online singing community and competition site that proides a stage on which users share their videos, rate and view other users' videos, and compete head-to-head.
This site was created by Kathy Chen, Caroline Sun, and Donna Yee during IAP 2009 for 6.470: Web Programming Competition.
How does it work?
After signing up for an account, users can customize their profile and post videos from their Youtube account showcasing their singing talents. Users can rate and review their favorite singers and videos and the site will keep a running ranking of the most popular users and content.
Why not just use Youtube?
Although you can also view, rate, and favorite videos on Youtube, joining this vocal community allows you to free your inner Songbird and connect with a flock of other singing enthusiasts.
Additionally, our artist database makes it is easy to find songs to sing and learn more about artists and their repetoire. Now you can find your favorite artists and see which Songbirds are singing their work.
