Disruptive Environments: Academics, Activists and Journalists in Conversation seeks to engage journalists, activists, and scholars from a variety of disciplines in conversation about current environmental issues: climate change, environmental justice and health, ecological restoration and remediation. The conference is organized by graduate students and faculty in the History, Anthropology, and Science, Technology, and Society program, and sponsored by MIT’s Program in Anthropology, STS Program and the Deans of the School of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences (SHASS) and of the School of Science.

A complete description of the goals of the conference and participating panelists can be found here.
Disruptive Environments is scheduled for April 10-11, 2008, and is open to MIT faculty and students, colleagues at other Boston-based institutions, and the general public, although space is limited. Information about registering for the conference, accommodation for participants from outside the area, and other logistics will follow.
